This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 9/6/2012
This is the 19th Century Jack Dempsey - not the 20th Century icon who owned a Restaurant and rubbed elbows with the Glitterati of the Enertainment World. This other Dempsey won the Middleweight Boxing Crown in 1884. Lost Title to Bob Fitzsimmons in 1891. Died in 1895. Measures 9 3/8" x 12" Has pieces of clear tape in corners. All (4) corners are slightle tapered. Would look smashing inside of a frame. This piece taken directly from the pages of Police Gazette publication. Vg condition.
